Chat Rules & FAQ
- Be nice to everyone. Fans of all ages use the chat. Pretend the person on the other side of the chat is 7 years old and is very sensitive. BE NICE.
- DO NOT post anything involving sex, religion, violence, drugs or anything else you wouldn't show a 7 year old.
- Use the Edit button to fix comments instead of posting a new one.
- Use the Reply button to reply to others' comments of the same topic.
- We advise not changing your username if you can. Everyone likes to know who they're talking to so changing the username just confuses us.
- Images load slowly in the chat. We advise you wait an hour to see if they load before posting again. :)
- Use emoticons! Sometimes emotion is hard to read on the internet! Use smileys to let the other person know you're not trying to be mean! "Get out of town!" vs. "Get out of town! :D"
- For legal matters about submitting your ideas, dungeons, etc, see the legal page under the About tab.
- Do not suggest characters or ideas that may be copyrighted. We may not be able to legally use the idea.
- Do not spam! This involves posting the same thing over and over or posting many nonsense/irrelevant/disruptive posts just to bother people in the chat.
- Let Moderators handle things. Do NOT take issues into your own hands. Simply inform a moderator and we will take care of it. Thanks!
FAQ
Where is Danger!?!?!
While we all love this mod, we also have lives to attend to. He checks often but there is no telling when. With so many comments, He tries his best to read them all it's impossible to comment on all of them.
Can I send my crash report?
Yes! Visit the About page to use the Contact form! It goes straight to Danger! Be sure to include a valid email so he can reply to you and also post the ENTIRE report in the email.
How do I know if someone is a Moderator?
Moderators in the chatrooms will have a grey "Moderator" tag next to their username. Anyone without this tag, claiming to be a moderator, is probably lying.
How do I become a Moderator?
We have only needed to add Moderators once so far and we do not currently have a need for anymore. If you're interested just hang around the chat, be active, and know a lot about the mod! If we have a position open for Moderators, we will announce it.
What can I get banned for?
You can get banned for being bad. If you insult people, purposely spam out of malice, cuss, or pick fights with people then you can be banned. Moderators will ALWAYS give you at least one warning before you get banned. Be nice to the other people in the chat and you won't have a problem. :)
How long is a ban?
There are two types of bans. The first is a "forever" ban which means we ban your IP, Username, and/or Email on the chat forever. The other is a "Week ban" or a "Time Out". This ban only lasts a week and is for first time offenders who may have gotten into some trouble but not on purpose. It's like a time out to cool off and remind you to behave.
Why are my comments being marked as spam!?!?
The chat automatically marks spam. Not just because of bad words, but also based on a few other "spam qualities". Take a look at the image below to see what qualifies as spam and how to avoid being marked as spam. :)
